Hi, I am a narrator given permission to enter your aural sensory units through the magic of song, and today I have a story to tell you. It's about a man named Maxwell. Maxwell was a happy man. He had a beautiful wife. He had a dog named Mr. Dinkles. One day, while Maxwell was lying in bed. He burped and it tasted like old chili. He paid no mind to it and soon fell asleep. He dreamed about eating a Nestlee Crunch. The next morning when he woke up. He burped again. This time it tasted like mashed potatoes. And once more about a half hour later. It happened again multiple times while he was at work. It disrupted his reasonably important business meeting. His co-workers lightly chuckled at him. He made small talk with some co-workers during his lunch break, while he was eating a pickle. The burping seemed to go away. But after a while it came back. And this time it tasted like pickles. Maxwell didn't know what to do. He tried holding his breath for as long as he could. He tried standing on his head. He tried punching himself in the stomach, but that only made his body angry, and he burped twice as much. He tried taunting the burps. Swearing at them. making friends with them. nothing worked. His stomach wouldn't fall for it. When Maxwell got off work, he went to a convenience store and got a bunch of hot pockets. He paid the man at the counter. He noticed the man at the counter had large ears. He walked away. He went home and microwaved his hot pockets. He ate himself sick. He tried to sleep it off. But later woke up in the middle of the night and threw up into his expensive toilet. There was a little creature in the toilet. Swimming in the vomit. It looked like a baby hippo. It said hello to Maxwell, and Maxwell said "Hi" back. The creature said that he formed in Maxwell's stomach from undigested home cooking stuck inside of him, that had built up in his stomach for years. He made many burping noises and sent them up Maxwell's esophagus. Hoping he would notice his calls for help. He thanked Maxwell for releasing him. And said that he wanted to be friends. They ate many sandwiches together and went for long strolls in the park. Then Maxwell woke up and realised it was all a dream. He ate too many hot pockets before he went to bed. Maxwell woke up the next morning and burped some more. His wife gave him a gas pill. And the burping stopped. He went to work later that morning. And didn't burp once all day. He came home and watched a movie with his wife and their dog Mr. Dinkles later that night. And still didn't burp once. He got hungry in the middle of the night, and ate some of his wife's home cooked meatloaf. and started burping again the next morning. He took another gas pill. and the burping cleared up again. Maxwell now knew the source of the problem. He told his wife not to make meatloaf anymore. He gave his dog Mr. Dinkles a kiss. and went to work again. It is stressful being an accountant.
